Yes you do!
Simply, there are no restrictions to who can apply to become a Global contractor. Currently, Global have over 750 contactors nationwide all drawn from a wide-variety of backgrounds. Men and women alike, including professionals, tradesmen and manual workers, office workers and housewives, are successfully running there own office cleaning contracts. Many of these are foreign nationals from a broad range of cultural and ethnic minorities.
Of course you must comply with all and any current legislation covering workers in the UK, especially, if you are not from the UK, the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
If you hold a current UK Passport or National Insurance number you will be able to fastrack and attend our training courses and become a Global Subcontractor.
If you do not hold a UK Passport or National Insurance number you may still qualify to attend our training courses. Contact us and we will advise on your eligibility to attend.
If you have recently arrived in the UK you can easily apply for a National Insurance Number and this will give you the right to start working immediately. There is a very straightforward procedure to obtain one:
Firstly, call the Department for Work and Pensions on 0845 600 0643. You will be asked about your date of birth and your current address. Then, an interview will be arranged close to where you are currently living. You will be expected to bring with you to the interview some form of identity and some information showing that you are actively seeking employment in the UK.
